Chavistas:”rampant” Corruption and Inefficiencies

The Chavistas are speaking out and they know that their man Chavez is not only corrupt but incompetent at being corrupt. The problem is that Chavez was groomed by Fidel Castro. Castro is a man who owns Cuba, he can do whatever he wants in Cuba. That is the image that has Chavez drunk with power.
What other advice can Castro give Chavez other than “you must control and lay claim to everything in order to stay in power.”
Fidel does not consider total control as corrupt. He has never known anything else. But the Venezuelan people have not been subject to Cuba style birth to adulthood indoctrination. And they know what the Cuba Style model means for Venezuela…mpress..
”We consider of the utmost importance, to make clear that we are not going to support all the actions made by this government’s officials, that prove to be against the people’s needs,” read a communiqué endorsed by 15 leftist organizations published in Venezuela’s communist party’s Web site.
This week, a group of councilmen from the municipality of Sucre in the city of Petare, who are members of the Fifth Republic Movement (MVR) that supports Chávez, denounced that $18 million that came from tax collection had vanished from the municipal coffers.
”The money disappeared along hidden roads,” said Isabel Rada, a chavista councilwoman who is president of the Municipal Chamber. Rada suggested that the income department in Sucre’s mayor’s office is managed like a “family cooperative.”
Humberto Berroterán, a chavista councilman, said that Mayor José Vicente Rangel, son of the former vice president who bears the same name, is responsible, explaining that he ”did not do a thing,” to solve this irregularity.
”We should reflect on this and remove our masks with the municipal executive power, no matter what the political consequences,” said Berroterán last Friday, in a statement for the newspaper La Voz.
Up until now, all the criticism about inefficiency and official corruption had been made by the opposition and some dissident voices.
But after Chávez suffered a defeat in the last referendum, criticism by his supporters increased.
