What is being offered by Obama that no one over 30 hasn’t seen before? Tax the Oil Industry? Tax the “rich”? Tax,tax, tax, tax, tax, There is not one proposal that Obama speaks of that will not involve a tax increase. Most anyone who has a clue as to how the wealthy react to tax increases knows that whoever can, will pass on the increase to the next sucker until it gets to guess who? You!
The word is he will unite us. Which us? He says “we are the ones we have been waiting for” who’s we? The Kos Kids? So far most of Obama’s closest friends or political partners we have met are mega radical, divisive leftists who hate America to boot. That’s a change. How is that posse of hate going affect an Obama administration?
It was more than 20 years ago that David Dinkins was elected Mayor of NYC. The media was drunk with glee claiming NYC was saved, “racism is over” were the headlines. But all NYC got out of Dinkins was an all out race war between everyone. The city was divided in groups and crime was out of control. The streets were like war zones. There was an uncomfortable feeling one would get riding the train. The city was tense. Dinkins was bringing change too. It got so bad that even the most rabid ultra liberals in NYC voted in a landslide for a man to fix the city, a man they now hate, a Republican named Rudi. In fact Al Sharpton is the only survivor from that era.
That’s how bad things were. New York liberals, came off as the most hypocritical constituency in the country.
Here they were so desperate to fix years of democrat failure of leadership. Afraid to walk out of their million dollar brownstones for fear of getting mugged or worse. NYC liberals finally held their breath and voted for a Republican to clean the streets of the stench in the air.
But do you think they would appreciate anything Rudi did? Do you think the journalists at the New York Times who no longer had to look over their shoulders on their city streets gave a crap? They couldn’t wait to savage and discredit Rudi the first chance they got.
If one looks at the Obama machine it is run by the same far-left crowd that has been around since 1968.
Anthony Lake, Clinton’s original national security adviser, is helping coordinate foreign policy. So is Susan Rice, a Clinton assistant secretary of state and protege of former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. Eric Holder, a former deputy attorney general, is among those providing expertise on legal policy.
Is this change? Aren’t these Clinton’s people? One might as well have put Hillary at the top of the ticket. But she would not be so easy to manipulate.
History shows if Obama wins and moves to implement the most leftist economic and foreign policies ever in U.S., the results may well be as bad as Carter or Dinkins who’s incompetence one remembers led to massive Republican landslides. Some say the electorate has changed, that may be so but Obama has not secured the white male/ female votes in key areas yet. He should be beating McCain by 30 points. In fact he needs Hillary on the ticket to win she has already told him that.
Hillary is in a win win situation. She can sit back and watch the Obama train wreck or participate in it. She will come out unharmed. Some can not resist the thought of Bill and Hill back in the White House. If he asks her to be V.P. she’s in, why not. If he disses her she can pull back her support and flip one key State that may decide the election. McCain gets elected and Hillary would be in the top position ready to take power back and payback is a bitch when Hillary is paying.
Imagine the Obama dilemma, as V.P. he can not trust Hillary, would you? especially if he gets in to any problem that may lead to impeachment. If Al Gore would not have been loyal to Bill Clinton and not stood by him perhaps Clinton would not have survived Monica. The only way Hillary loses is if she runs as Obamas V.P. and they lose…mpress
