The Snitch and the Overstated Mission

Posted on June 21st, 2008 by mpress101

“This is a very secretive White House,” McClellan said. “There’s some things that they would prefer not to be talked about.” Wise words from Scott McClellan. This must be the first secretive White House in U.S. history…

Do you want to see how screwed the American people are? Do you want to see how utterly screwed we are? Just take a look at the show that congress is putting on for the American people. Former White House press secretary Scott McClellan, testifying before the House Judiciary Committee on Friday was the most mind numbing display of what Washington has turned into.

Scott McClellan does not know if any crimes were committed but he knows it was wrong to reveal Valarie Plames name. Gee Wiz..

armitage.jpg

“I do not know whether a crime was committed by any of the administration officials who revealed Valerie Plame’s identity to reporters,” McClellan said Friday. Has anybody heard of Richard Armitage? The temptation For the Dems.to criminalize policy differences, is irresistible Everyone knows that during the 2004 presidential campaign, Democrats seized on Robert Novak’s ordinary reporting of a Bush official’s belated realization that the administration had let CIA official Plame and her husband Joseph Wilson set it up for embarrassment, and charged President Bush with a violation of law. Afraid to call nonsense by its name, Mr. Bush appointed a special prosecutor. And that eventually led to the absurd citation of two reporters for thwarting the investigation into a nonexistent crime. “Nor do I know if there was an attempt by any person or persons to engage in a cover-up during the investigation. Well Scott what do you know then?

In their desperate attempt to impeach Bush, Congress is in the process of making political persuasion a crime.

Then you have Congressman Wexler from Palm beach. We know who voted him in office. Weren’t these the people in Palm Beach, Florida? The idiots who messed up the 2000 election forcing Gore to try to count votes and un-count votes. Until the Supreme Court had to tell Gore “be a man” and concede with a little dignity.

Then this “You are the first high official in this administration to come before this Congress and offer us a glimpse into the truth. I commend you for being here today.” High on what? That is the genius of Robert Wexler. Everyone knows that the White House Pres Sec. is just a little higher in the loop than White House Janitor. McClellan was treated like the idiot he is. He didn’t know anything and still is clueless.

McClellan said Bush ignored classified intelligence that cast doubt on the danger posed by Iraq in an attempt to sell the combat mission. “The case was overstated, it was overpackaged,” he told the House Judiciary Committee.

This is the point that you start pulling out your hair screaming. Ok let me try to explain this to those who have no clue how the world works. Bush had information given to him by the previous administration which opted to do nothing and the CIA who were sure Iraq posed a threat to the US. He decided to not take the chance and attempted to convince people of his position.

It wasn’t propaganda because the U.S. press was more than free to investigate and counter the administrations views. I don’t believe I have to explain this, so for the people who are voter illiterate in Palm Beach I will spell it out for you.

Most in congress who saw the CIA information Dem. and Rep. voted to send troops into Iraq.
If Bush was able to convince Congress to vote for the war in which he believed would be necessary for US security, he did what every other President has done before going to war. He made his case. In fact it took so long to make the case that Iraq could have shipped all the WMD into Syria and we wouldn’t know it. Then after seeing the war going south the Dems saw a political opportunity to bury the Bush Administration. So they needed a way to cover their asses without having to admit they were convinced there was WMD in Iraq. Here is where the country was able to see the cowards infesting Congress.

The scheme was to say Bush lied about Iraq, meaning that Bush must have known there were no WMD in Iraq. This gives those who voted for the war an out and they could claim “what me? I was lied to, Its that Cheney, he made me vote for the war.”

The best statement

“I don’t believe that there’s any enlightening information to be gained from your testimony here today. … Many of the statements that you have made in your book directly contradict statements that you made during your tenure in the White House.” — Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va.

So the impeachment crowd is still looking for Bush’s Monica. They are willing to accuse the Commander in Chief of lies and deception while our troops are fighting for their lives in Iraq. You would think the Dems would not ruin the morale of our brave soldiers while in battle by taking away the only thing they have to survive against terrorists and cold blooded mass murderers. Being the good guys. The message the Dems send to the troops is they are not the good guys. Before accusing Bush of misleading them do you think Congress and the Dems took into account the effect of discrediting the Commander, who the troops must have faith in to be successful? The answer is they didn’t care.

We are in deep sh*t ..mpress…

I have read parts of his book. It seems odd it would come out this close to an election. If the things he mentions really happened then we need to get Bush out now and start with some fresh blood. Why is it that it is always the second term that brings these guys down?
